Atillâ Aktaş began, even as a student, giving tutoring lessons to other pupils in his neighborhood in Kreuzberg’s Wrangelkiez. During his teacher-training studies, he worked at a tutoring school and, in the meantime, spent a year in Spain working at two schools as a foreign-language assistant.
After his studies, he worked before and after his traineeship as a substitute teacher at various Berlin schools. He continued his training to become a mentor for prospective teachers of non-German origin and, during that time, supported several mentees.
Today he teaches English, Spanish, and hip-hop dance at the Askanisches Gymnasium in Berlin. He also leads a seminar for prospective teachers of Spanish and is the author of numerous didactic publications for English and Spanish teaching, which can be found under the following links:

When Adisa Gündoğdu is temporarily hired as the deputy homeroom teacher of class 10a at a Berlin high school, he quickly gets the nickname Mr. G – his students not only like his unconventional teaching, his casual sneakers and his hip-hop club, but also soon realize they can trust him.
Through his openness and empathy, the new teacher soon becomes an important companion for the teenagers and helps them get to know themselves better and find their way in a world full of differences and challenges. They don’t suspect that, in engaging with them, their teacher is also learning to resolve a personal conflict that has tormented him since childhood.

Atillâ Aktaş is known in Berlin’s hip hop scene under his stage name “Fresh” or “DJ Fresh.” He grew up during the “Golden Era of Hip Hop” in the 1990s and began expressing his creativity through dance as a teenager. For 22 years, he worked as a dancer and choreographer for national and international artists, touring across Europe and worldwide with them. As a dance teacher, he taught street dance and organized workshops at various dance schools in Berlin. For five years, he worked as head of a dance school at the “Flying Steps Academy.”
As DJ Fresh, he began making a name for himself in the scene by first playing at hip-hop battles, later at parties and in clubs. He is booked as a DJ for corporate events, parties, battles, private functions and other events. The following genres are covered in his DJ sets: R&B, soul, hip hop, rap, afrobeats, dancehall and funky/soulful house.
