When Adisa Gündoğdu is temporarily hired as a substitute teacher at a Berlin high school, he quickly gets the nickname Mr. G - his students not only like his unconventional lessons, his casual sneakers and his hip-hop club at school, but also quickly realize that they can trust him.
Through his openness and empathy, the new teacher soon becomes an important mentor for the youngsters, helping them to get to know themselves better and to find their way in a world full of differences and challenges. In the process, they have no idea that their teacher is also learning to resolve a personal conflict that has plagued him since childhood.
This is a book for teachers and for all those who deal with young people, as well as for young people who can find what moves them here again; and for everyone who has a desire to learn something about themselves, their life and their identity, who is willing to question their thought patterns as well as stereotypes and prejudices.
